We Have Learned This Both as a Student and as a Teacher

Most students who score 1500+ on the SAT share one of two traits: “effort” or “genetics.”

Genetics cannot be changed. And matching the level of effort of top-tier students is far more difficult than people assume. For students without those advantages, simply reading more books, memorizing vocabulary daily, or endlessly drilling past questions is often not as practical or effective as it sounds.

You often see advertisements highlighting “X number of 1500+ scorers.”

Let’s be honest: many of those students would likely score 1500+ anywhere. Designing a curriculum exclusively for already elite students is comfortable for instructors and powerful for marketing.

Let’s be clear.

“Your friend’s child scored 1500—so you should go there too” does not help students who lack the same foundation, preparation history, or innate advantages.

The first step is diagnosing the foundation.

If fundamentals are weak, short-term gains are unrealistic. Top scorers have typically been building their foundation for five to ten years. That is the reality.

But it is not too late. Opportunity exists for those willing to challenge themselves.

This conviction comes from firsthand experience navigating private education, public education, college admissions, employment, and entrepreneurship in both Korea and the United States.

Mastering Test-Type Analysis & Strategy

Since SAT question patterns are predictable, the most effective preparation method is:
  1. Master core concepts completely.
  1. Analyze SAT question types.
  1. Apply targeted strategies by type.
Solving practice problems endlessly is inefficient. Strategic analysis leads to better time management and lower error rates.

The Fastest and Most Reliable Score Growth: Grammar

For non-native speakers, reading comprehension is directly influenced by grammar mastery.
For native speakers, formal grammar instruction is often surprisingly limited in U.S. schools—making structured grammar study essential.
